I wish that I could say that I have been a fan of theirs since the beginning, but I can't. I first heard REM in September of 1994 and have been captivated by their music ever since. If you found your way to this page, this statement needs no further clarification. If you somehow stumbled across this page, let me try to explain.

R.E.M. is a band (guess you figured that out by now!) which started in Athens, Georgia USA in April of 1980. The band consists of four members. Bill Berry on drums, Peter Buck on lead guitar, Mike Mills on bass and Michael Stipe as the vocalist extraordiannaire. For the past 16 years they have been making music that I can only describe as "amazing". I am sure that many will disagree with this, but I can only speak for myself! Their latest effort, NEW ADVENTURES IN HI-FI is, in my humble opinion, nothing short of brilliant.
